Still Waiting

We haven't written a post the past two weeks because there is nothing to report. We are still waiting to hear about our SDA appointment. I had an epiphany that the minute I write something and question God's timing, then something will happen. This has been the case in the past, so, perhaps we will hear something tomorrow :)

Our facilitator told us last week that the SDA was giving appointments to folks submitted before the 13th of October. We were submitted the 15th, so we should expect word this week. Still, as of this post, there has been no news. Perhaps R isn't quite yet available and this is the reason.

We are having our first big snow storm of the season here in Colorado. The weather is nasty outside, but not enough to cancel our school district schools. Statewide, there are about 50 school district closings, but not our's. So, begrudgingly, our kidos marched off to school this morning and I drove to work with the 4-WD engaged.

I live in Colorado too - west of COS. And I was shocked that there wasn't even a delay - nothing?! And it is only supposed to get worse here. I don't understand it! I guess school district officials are more concerned about getting days in than they are about the safety of children.

Mountain Girl,

Welcome to the blog! We are happy that you read us! Hope to hear from you again and perhaps we will see you in the Springs on our next trip down.

Sorry you haven't heard anything yet. Nothing like living on pins and needles! And weather for us? With no snow, our district closed for the day. We've seen a few flakes since, but c'mon, people! ;-)

Patience, patience, young grasshopper. You know how this process works. There's always a calm before the running starts. You'll be running soon enough. Can you believe you're doing this again???

My boss sent everyone home today at noon-woo hoo! I'm thinking it will be a snow day for all tomorrow-hot cocoa, cheese and crackers, board games, fire, movies-can't wait!

Yea, I don't get why some schools close with no snow, but the other schools where children live in treacherous places when there's snow/ice - they have school?! I hope they close Teller Co schools for tomorrow - it's not supposed to get any better????

Praying for good news soon! Things seem to slow down this time of year if I remember that past two years... I know they are starting to plan their holidays :)
